John Martin, Charles Gilman, Hugh Dunn and Hopewill Hull applied for, and received, Dec. 18, 1666 the Piscataway land grant. John came from Dover, in the valley of the Piscataqua, in what is now New Hampshire. John was a landholder there in 1648, served on the grand jury in 1654, and was freeman in 1666.
