Elmer P. Sutton

Elmer P. Sutton was the 2nd child of James E Sutton and the 2nd child born to Dorcas M. Graham. Elmer P. was born 12 Nov 1862 in Butler County, PA when Dr. Mordecai Alva was 1 year old. Elmer P. married Nettie Gillespie on Mar 1889 at the age of ??? and they had 1 child. Elmer P. died 15 Oct 1929 at the age of 67.

Biography/Pictures

In 1900 the census shows that Elmer was a clerk for a bank, and that his father, James was living with his family. Elmer moved to Mars, PA in 1903. In the 1910 and 1920 census Elmer's employment was listed as a cashier for a bank. In the 1920 census we see that Elmer's son Williams was a clerk at a bank. Elmer did become the president of Mars bank for many years and was also an elder in the Presbyterian Church.
