Raymond married Blanche after his first wife died. Raymond and Blanche had five children whom they raised in Cooperstown, PA. They both joined the Glade Run United Presbyterian Church in Cooperstown sometime in 1944-45.

Raymond worked as a manager of the Norris Fruit Market on Route 8 in Cooperstown where peaches were sold, brought in by the truckload from Carlisle, PA. Tom Taylor remembers the Norris' wer godly people. Tom was a member of the Westerman's church and remembers Raymond sorting peaches by hand at the market. As he came to soft or rotten ones, hwe let loose with curses! Raymond is rememberd as an unpretentious man by family members.
