Jonathon Sutton was the 1st child of Zebulon Sutton Sr. and the 1st child born to Mary Doty. Jonathon was born 23 Mar 1735 in Basking Ridge, Somerset County, NJ. Jonathon married . Jonathon died 2 Feb 1818 at the age of 83.

Jonathan served in the Revolutionary War and is a descendant (his 4th great grandfather) of Edward Doty of the Mayflower. His father was Zebulon Sutton and his mother was Mary Slater Doty. Jonathan was elder in his Presbyterian Church in New Jersey and the 6th great grandfather of Chaplin Dr. Joseph Walker, MDiv (50004841.) I haven't verified his burial place for certain.
