Mr. Newingham, as he was always called, married Minnie sometime between 1904 and 1918 and they lived at 1411 Freeport road, Natrona Heights. He worked as a bank clerk. William and Minnie were known to have had teachers and borders in their home. William and another person developed a special ink which they advertised for sale. Unfortunately, they probably did so before obtaining the appropriate license or patent, for he was arrested and served prison time conected with his new development. During this embarrasing time, Linnie, (Minnie's birth daughter) traveled to Bermuda and Ruth Kennedy Goodbread moved briefly down to live with Minnie. William is remembered as a very formal person.
