Audley and Gertrude celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1976 at which time a reception was held at their home at 581 Sarver road in Sarver, PA. Nancy Sutton (my mom) remembers that she wore her apron during the entire celebration, and made note of it in her geneaology notes. Mom also noted that Gertrude remarked at the time that "she'd do it (marry Audley) all over again!". Gertrude was a member of Sandy Lake Church of Christ.
