Wilda Aldene Hesselgesser Lewis

Wilda Aldene Lewis was the 7th child of Ellis Hesselgesser and the 7th child born to Sarah Elizabeth McGinnis. Wilda Aldene was born 10 Sep 1892 in Winfield Township, Butler Co., PA when Minnie Etta was 13 years old, Edward Thomas was 11 years old, Nellie was 8 years old, Emma Jane was 6 years old, Blanche Eva was 4 years old and Maude Elizabeth was 2 years old. Wilda Aldene married Robert Leasure Lewis on 23 Jun 1913 at the age of 21. . Wilda Aldene died 11 Jun 1976 at the age of 84.

The family lived at Knox Chapel in a frame house. They were members of the Cabot United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker all her life.

Anut Wilda loved life and she was fun to be near! She drove a car, but it was fortunate she only drove in the immediate vicinity where everyone knew her. For instance, as she drove from her home headed for Cabot, she never stopped at the light (or stop sign) to cross 356 ... she merely kept on going, everyone else stopped!

Wilda suffered from arthritis, as many of her sisters did.
